Program Philosophy

Our programs share a philosophy that is supportive of the right of every child and family to expect and receive the highest quality of early learning and care that we can offer. We believe that the child care environment should be inclusive of all children and we strive to offer programs that are supportive, caring and creative. We offer opportunities for growth and development in every area, while recognizing that each child is a unique individual. Parents are an integral part of our inclusive philosophy and we encourage families to be involved in the program as much as possible.

Our School Age Programs offer flexible and responsive programming and a balance to the more structured environment of the elementary school. Program planning is a co-operative process in which the children and Educators discuss ideas and objectives together. Early Childhood Educators nurture and foster the growing maturity and independence of the school age child by providing opportunities for each child to contribute to the environment and program planning.

The program is committed to promoting responsibility for one’s self and to others by encouraging self-help skills, and fostering a sense of respect for the environment.
