Description
This presentation is intended for parents/guardians who have a child with special needs who will be starting school in September 2020.

The following topics will be presented during the session:

• Rights and supports that your school must provide to meet the needs of your child;
• Review of Identification, Placement and Review Committee (IPRC) & the Individual Education Plan (IEP);
• Strategies to ensure a good transition between the child care program and the school;
• Strategies to facilitate information sharing and effective communication with the school board.

AM Session: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. (child care available – limited spaces)
PM Session: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. (no child care)
