Andrew Fleck Children’s Services GiveShop Page

What do old toys and the clothes you have in the back of your closet that you haven’t worn in years have in common? They can both become cash donations to Andrew Fleck Children’s Services!

This summer we’re launching a GiveShop page for AFCS. GiveShop is an online market place (similar to Facebook Marketplace) that allows users to post gently used items and all proceeds from the sale of those items through the platform go directly to AFCS.

How can I donate?

Once you create a free account with GiveShop you can start posting your items. Donors can post gently used items on the marketplace by taking or uploading a photo, setting the item price and then choosing the beneficiary charity (in this case AFCS).  Buyers can search the marketplace by item, category or charity and pay for items using a credit card via the app.

Once the donor and buyer agree on price, the two parties meet up to exchange the item and complete the sale.  The donor (the person who donated the item) then receives a tax receipt for the sale amount (tax receipts will be issues for donations over $25.00).

GiveShop does charge a standardized platform fee of 15% of the proceeds from the sale of items sold in its marketplace, but all net proceeds from sales go directly to AFCS.

While you’re doing your summer cleaning we encourage you to put items aside, upload them to GiveShop and select Andrew Fleck Children’s Services as your beneficiary charity. Ready to get started? Watch this video for a quick tutorial on how to upload your items.
